Winter time: such a boring life !!!

Additional information:

All the camps in Bottrop are one on one coaching. Except the 12th/16th december: It’s just before the Battle of Bottrop,  so this camp is dedicated to do some 4way with Havard, Raph and Juju (4speed) my team mates for the battle.

The camps in Eloy will be in collaboration with Håvard, Petter Jönsson and Matt Hill (Krystal). This is a mixed tunnel and skydive camp. The plan is to do some “Nordic Meet” kind of flying: no holding hands 🙂 Only 8 slots per camp: one coach for two students !!! more info here.

Håvard and Alex awesome trip….. again

Few weeks ago me and Håvard went to the Ukraine to visit our friend Dima, to learn how to surf….. I know there is no sea or ocean in Ukraine but there is no dropzone in Bottrop and it’s definitely one of the best place to learn how to skydive. Wake surf is to surf what wind tunnel is for skydive! A specific boat creates a wave big enough to surf, you start with a rope and as soon as you can, you drop the rope and follow the boat. Absolutely awesome… we can surf !!! Huge thanks to Dima, or BoDhima as we now call him, for a epic visit in Kiev!

After the wake surf we went to Rumania for the TNT Brothers Boogie. When you know how skydiving works in Romania, it’s absolutely amazing to see what those brothers have managed to set up. The general freefly skill is improving and it is gonna be pretty hard to beat them when it comes to positive energy and making stuff happen. A dropzone full of potiental, and recommended destination.

Cherry on top, they organized some acrobatic flight with some world class pilot for us…. If you ever get the chance to fly an Extra plane, with preferably a Rumanian pilot, DO IT! An unforgettable experience !!!

Nordic Sequentials 2012

Just arrived in Chicago with Håvard and finally get a chance to upload the Nordic Sequentials video. Rock solid organization, good weather, the beech and a super efficient ground crew offer us a great week of skydive in my favorite scandinavian drop zone: Nasinge. We’ll be back soon for angle week 7-11 august. That gonna be mega.

Out of the cage

Me and Havard finally had the opportunity to skydive before the Funshine Boogie in Seville.
Only 10 jumps but it feel so good to finally play out of a tunnel: my first skyball jump, some freestyle and a track jump to celebrate the 10 000th of Jim Harris !!!
Havard was focus on improving his new camera setting and helmet. He did a pretty good job filming in 50 frame per sec with a canon 550D. So I couldn’t resist to share these footage and experiment slow mo and weird music edit.

Here is the result of two rainy days at the Stockholm’s Drop Zone, doing my best to fight against boredom. My first home made spray painting design + HDSLR camera mount. Looks like Im ready to film: Nordic Meet, Voss Freefly Festival, Nordic Sequentials: ACTION !!!

Voss´ome Town: and that´s just how it´s done!

Petter Jönsson and myself join Martin Kristensen to help out the staff of the brand new wind tunnel at Voss …. Witch is totally “drit kult”: same air quality as Bottrop but faster, in the beautiful norway country side, 5 min driving to the drop zone… (high pitch voice) SWEEEET !!!

We took this opportunity to edit a short movie tinted of Lonely Island and king ass flying. Turn up the amplifier, sit back and join us in Voss´ome town !!!

Mega Week

Mega week by Swedish Freefly Mafia was a perfect combo of dynamic freefly at Voss Vind tunnel and at the sky of Nasinge in Sweden, with on top a touch of sauna raft, photo contest, rock band, and “butcher” party (inside joke) !!!

I quickly edit this short video with some tunnel/skydive dynamic freefly and ROCK’nROLL. Enjoy this for now, the full edit should be come soon !!!

New toys

On my way to the fresh brand new Voss tunnel, I stopped by Moxnes Howeski mansion in Oslo and got some new awesome toys to play with this summer: Vector rig, optima2 and viso2 from L&B ….. MEGA !!! By the way I just redesigned the sponsors page to offer you an overview of the gear we like to use.

And finally just few words about Boogie Man that pushing a lot the developpment of a new tunnel expert. Hävard, Adam Mattacola, Martin Kristensen and Filip Crnjakovic flew with it during the world challenge and all agree about how much awesome it is to fly with. But now summer is coming, it’s time to skydive and wear this kind of new product:

I just watch this small interview about freedom with Julien Millot, filmed during a trip in Norway when they performed a BASE jump from a slack line. 2 min worth watching !!!
